In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and trucks to support septic and stormwater projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and precise operations. Your expertise will help grow our small company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced environment where safety and quality are top priorities. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, vactor trucks, with precision and safety in mind. Drive commercial trucks including dump trucks and vactor trucks. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on all machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling to support various phases of projects. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while adhering to OSHA regulations and company policies. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and transportation activities for reporting purposes. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and vacuum equipment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance on machinery. Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and regulations. Prior experience working on construction sites with familiarity in excavation, grading, or related activities. Ability to operate equipment confidently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Join us in building the future!
