In this role, you will be responsible for operating mini excavators to perform a variety of excavation and site preparation tasks. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment on diverse construction sites, contributing to the successful delivery of infrastructure and development projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with heavy machinery, and a proactive approach to safety and teamwork. Responsibilities Operate mini excavators safely and efficiently across multiple construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols and operational guidelines. Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and site clearing tasks with precision to support project timelines. Assist with the operation of other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, skidsteers and dump trucks as needed. Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use; report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure optimal performance. Follow detailed instructions from supervisors regarding project specifications and site requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area; ensure all safety measures are followed during operation. Collaborate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines. Experience Proven experience operating mini excavators in a construction environment with a solid understanding of mechanical systems. Familiarity with operating other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures and best practices. Experience working on diverse construction projects including infrastructure development, paving, or water management is preferred. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in operating construction vehicles is a plus. Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment or similar brands is advantageous.
