Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and motivated Experienced Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. We do interior demolition with small excavators and skid steers as well as full building demolition with larger machines. We work with Asbestos and PCBs but are willing to train in those areas if you're not licensed. Excavator, skid steer, lull, loader experience required. High-reach excavator experience would be great but not needed. We work all over CT and sometimes MASS. We are looking for someone who is interested in a stable career with a long-standing company with a great reputation. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machines with precision and safety. Conduct pre-operation inspections on machinery to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance. Follow project plans and instructions from site supervisors to execute construction tasks efficiently. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational reports. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, material hauling, and other construction-related activities. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate operations and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving large vehicles such as dump trucks or tanker trucks. Construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety procedures and regulations. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Certification or training in operating Caterpillar (CAT) equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork. Pay:
$27.05 - $32.58 per hour
