Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join a rapidly growing environmental company. The role involves working aloft, climbing ladders, scaffolding, and using aerial equipment. You will spend long hours on your feet, working in various weather conditions including snow, rain, cold, and heat. You will be required to perform tasks above your head and in tight quarters. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Skid-Steer, and Backhoe. Perform general labor and environmental tasks. Work on Rhode Island projects with the ability to grow into higher-level positions. Utilize GPS machine control technology. Read and interpret plans and construction drawings. Participate in environmental remediation, demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, and landfill cap and closures. Essential Skills 5-10 years of construction experience. Ability to operate an Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Skid-Steer, and Backhoe. Possession of a valid RI hoisting license for Rhode Island jobs. Possession of a valid MA hoisting license with 1C/2A designation for Massachusetts jobs. OSHA 10 Hour certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience utilizing GPS machine control is a plus. 40 Hour
