Drawbridge Operator- Training Provided

Drawbridge Operator will operate the drawbridge in response to signals and in accordance with established rules and regulations. Duties involve bridge operation and maintaining appropriate documentation. Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion in making decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must have the ability to react quickly to, and report situations involving train and boat traffic via radio. Ability to keep clear and accurate records concerning boat movements, maintenance activities, equipment malfunctions, and accident information occurring on the bridge. Report for work as scheduled.
