Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our underground utilities/paving construction team to operate a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality. This position offers an opportunity for motivated individuals to make a tangible impact on projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery with precision and safety awareness. Perform site preparation tasks including grading, excavation, and land clearing to prepare for foundation work or infrastructure installation. Assist in material handling by loading and unloading supplies using appropriate equipment. Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance; perform basic maintenance as needed. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Collaborate with project managers and team members to coordinate equipment usage across different phases of construction projects. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on commercial. Mechanical knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot minor issues and perform routine maintenance on machinery. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA standards. Hands-on experience with various types of machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators is highly desirable. Communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. We are a Drug Free Workplace.
