Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. We are a general contractor in the commercial and multi-family sector, overseeing site work and demolition projects throughout Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery in a site work setting, have a strong understanding of safety protocols, and be able to travel for projects.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Focus for excavator and skid steer operator, CDL preferred. Operate several types of heavy construction equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, rollers, articulated dump trucks, front-end loaders, or other types of heavy equipment Collaborate with team members to execute tasks related to construction, excavation, or material handling Assist in the setup and teardown of equipment at job sites. Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment and conduct pre-shift inspections Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic work settings Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Proven heavy equipment experience required High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed Able to complete all required paperwork and use project management app efficiently Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's license Valid commercial driving license (CDL) Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks Employer conducts drug screening and background check

This is a hourly position Paid weekly Per diem and gas card This position requires 75% + travel Work locations throughout Florida Nights as needed

Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
