Job Description:

We are currently hiring an experienced Day Shift Yard Hostler for a yard-only position in Fernandina Beach, FL. Drivers will be responsible for moving dry van trailers throughout the yard and positioning trailers into dock doors based on management requests. This position does not involve road driving. Candidates must have previous yard hostler and trailer backing experience.

Responsibilities:

Move trailers throughout the yard safely and efficiently Position trailers at dock doors as directed by management Safely operate automatic yard jockey equipment Follow all yard safety procedures Communicate with managers and dock personnel as needed

Requirements:

Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience within the last 2 years OR Minimum 12 months of Class C yard hostler experience within the last 2 years Experience moving and backing trailers required Ability to work long shifts in a fast-paced yard environment
