Excavator Operator

Excavator Operator 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Citrus Hills Construction is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our construction team. This position is responsible for operating excavators for land clearing and site preparation, and for loading trucks with fill dirt and debris. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in land clearing and truck loading, along with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Operate excavators safely and efficiently for land clearing, grading, and site preparation Load dump trucks with fill dirt, debris, and other materials accurately and efficiently Perform pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance or repair needs promptly Work closely with truck drivers, supervisors, and job site personnel to ensure smooth operations Follow all company policies, OSHA standards, and safety regulations Read and interpret basic site plans and grade stakes as needed Assist with other job site tasks as required Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure job site safety at all times Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators in land clearing and construction environments Proven experience loading dump trucks efficiently and safely Strong understanding of excavation techniques and site safety practices Ability to operate equipment smoothly in tight or active job sites Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus but not required Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment Ability to climb on and off equipment multiple times per day Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Work Schedule Full-time position Daytime hours; overtime may be required based on project demands Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Benefits package (as applicable) Steady, long-term employment with a reputable local construction company Why Join Citrus Hills Construction?
