In this role, you will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy equipment to facilitate various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure efficient site operations, safety, and precision in executing excavation tasks. Duties Operate excavators safely and efficiently to perform digging, trenching, lifting, and material handling tasks on construction sites. Assist with the operation of other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and tankers as needed. Conduct routine inspections of machinery before and after use to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow project plans and specifications to execute excavation tasks accurately while maintaining safety standards. Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to schedule equipment use and optimize workflow. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, site activities, and safety checks. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and environmental regulations to ensure a secure work environment for all personnel. Requirements Proven experience operating excavators in a construction or similar heavy equipment environment. Mechanical knowledge of excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling equipment. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving heavy machinery or commercial vehicles. Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and identify potential issues early. Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery or similar brands is preferred.
