HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
(Loaders, Backhoes, Excavators, Graders, Bulldozer Etc.) Founded in 1973, Acosta Tractors, Inc. is an engineering contracting firm that performs underground utility installation (water, sewer and drainage), complete roadway construction and site development. We are seeking experienced
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
to join our team. Projects are primarily located in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive, maneuver, or control heavy machinery Move construction materials, earth, and other heavy materials at construction sites Use equipment to grade rock to desired elevation Excavate for and set underground utilities Safely excavate around existing utilities Check to make sure that equipment functions properly Clean, maintain, and make basic repairs to equipment Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors Coordinate machine actions with crew members in response to hand or audio signals Ensure that safety standards are met
Must Have:
Experience Working with Roadway/Earthwork Contractor (at least 2 years) A reliable means of transportation directly to job sites Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Ability to pass background check & drug test 10 or 30 Hour OSHA a PLUS!
