Professional Development and Growth Your Role:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator you will be responsible for operating excavators to handle waste materials efficiently and safely. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Operate excavators and loaders to transport waste materials at various sites Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance Follow site plans and instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any issues encountered Assist in site clean-up and organization as needed
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, preferably in the waste management or construction industry Strong knowledge of excavator operation, maintenance, and safety procedures Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures Excellent communication and customer service skills Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and operating heavy equipment Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
