ABOUT US AIS
Infrastructure Group is comprised of four heavy civil construction companies delivering infrastructure improvement, site development, and industrial construction services across the United States. We partner with government agencies and private clients on a wide range of projects, including highways, bridges, power plants, dams, reservoirs, and underground utilities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Heavy Equipment Operator plays a critical role in project execution by safely operating and maintaining a variety of construction equipment. This position requires technical expertise, attention to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively to meet project goals and timelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and compactors Follow project plans, blueprints, and supervisor direction to complete work accurately and efficiently Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance to ensure equipment performance and safety Load, transport, and place materials using proper techniques Work closely with field teams to support project schedules and deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured job sites (including military bases) Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment operation, and safety standards Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and blueprints Experience with GPS and construction technology preferred Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective communication skills Valid driver's license required Equipment certifications preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily outdoor construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditions Physically demanding role requiring lifting, standing, climbing, and extended equipment operation May involve exposure to job site hazards Flexible hours and shifts may be required based on project needs TRAVEL Travel to project sites may be required.
