Dozer Operator Pintail Site Preparation, LLC Savannah, GA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Outdoor work Climbing Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Dozer Operator Job Description Position Title Dozer Operator Position Summary The Dozer Operator is responsible for safely operating bulldozers and related heavy equipment to support construction, grading, excavation, roadwork, site development, utility installation, and earthmoving operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, site safety, and quality standards while working closely with supervisors, equipment operators, laborers, and project teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate bulldozers and related heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Perform rough and finish grading according to project specifications and site plans. Clear and level land for construction, roadwork, utility, and site development projects. Push, spread, and compact dirt, gravel, sand, and other materials as required. Assist with excavation, backfilling, slope grading, and site preparation activities. Read and interpret grade stakes, GPS systems, site plans, and operator instructions. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. Identify and report equipment damage, maintenance concerns, or unsafe conditions immediately. Maintain proper fluid levels and perform basic preventative maintenance tasks. Work closely with supervisors and grade crews to ensure project accuracy and productivity. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements. Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas. Assist with additional construction and labor duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience operating bulldozers in construction or earthmoving environments preferred. Experience with GPS machine control systems preferred. Ability to operate equipment safely on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions. Knowledge of grading, excavation, and construction site operations. Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and jobsite awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license preferred. OSHA 10 certification preferred. Required Skills and Abilities Safe and efficient heavy equipment operation Understanding of grading elevations and slopes Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Strong communication and teamwork skills Mechanical awareness of heavy equipment Attention to detail and safety compliance Dependable attendance and punctuality Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment. Ability to climb on and off heavy equipment multiple times daily. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, dust, and uneven terrain. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or overtime when required. Work Environment Outdoor construction and jobsite environments Exposure to moving machinery, dust, mud, vibration, and loud noise levels Fast-paced construction setting with changing priorities and schedules Safety Expectations The Dozer Operator must consistently follow all company safety policies and procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), participate in safety meetings, complete required documentation, and immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
