Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary We are hiring for a locally owned landscaping company who is seeking heavy equipment operators for their earth work department. You will become a vital part of building infrastructure that makes a difference! In this energetic role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery to support landscaping projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every stage. Your mechanical expertise and hands-on experience will drive the success projects, from site preparation to finishing touches. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to impactful landscaping endeavors. Duties Clearing brush, removing old sod, leveling uneven ground before work begins Grading and drainage work Shaping the land so water flows away from buildings Patios and retaining walls Water features (ponds, fountains) Irrigation systems Tree and shrub installations Material moving Using machines to move soil, mulch, gravel, and rock around the site Smoothing and shaping the land before seeding or laying sod Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and similar machinery. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with site safety procedures and operational standards. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic maintenance. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent certification for operating large equipment Physical stamina to perform manual tasks in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail.

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
