These are full-time, non-exempt positions with a starting wage range of $22.80 - $25.20 per hour, DOQ. You may be considered for openings on our Grade, Utility, Broom, Vegetation, or Drainage Crews. Primary Responsibilities:
Operate light, medium and heavy-duty maintenance and construction equipment such as dump trucks, water trucks, rollers, sweepers, front-end loaders, backhoes, and other equipment as required. Perform a variety of heavy manual work in connection with the construction, maintenance and repair of structures, devices and systems in the right-of-way to include sidewalks, streets, storm drains, and concrete structures. Conduct Winter Maintenance Operations to include applying sand and deicer to road surfaces and snow removal. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and will require working outside of normal work hours.
Qualifications:
Currently possess an Idaho Class A CDL license with a tanker endorsement or with ACHD's assistance, able to obtain an Idaho Class A CDL license within the first 6 months of employment. If license is from another state, must be able to obtain an Idaho CDL by the start of employment. If no tanker endorsement, must obtain a tanker endorsement within 30 days of employment. Any combination of education, training or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be acceptable. Applications will be reviewed periodically.
