In this role, you will operate specialized hydrovac trucks to safely and efficiently excavate around utilities, pipelines, and other underground infrastructure. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and construction site experience will be vital in ensuring projects are completed accurately and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, safety awareness, and a proactive approach. Responsibilities Operate hydrovac trucks to excavate soil and debris around underground utilities with precision and care. Conduct pre-trip & post-trip inspections of hydrovac units and other machinery to ensure safety and functionality. Follow all company & customer safety protocols and procedures on construction sites, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to coordinate excavation tasks efficiently. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including excavation locations, depths, and any issues encountered. Assist with setup and teardown of work zones, ensuring the site remains organized and hazard-free throughout operations. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to hydraulic systems, engine maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment. Construction site experience with a focus on utility installation or infrastructure projects. Valid commercial driver's license, Class B with Tanker endorsement. Clean driving record Familiarity with safety standards and regulations applicable to construction sites involving heavy machinery. Prior experience working with hydrovac technology or in excavation roles is highly preferred.
