REVIEW AND CONFIRM WITH HIRING MANAGER
We're currently hiring for an Operator I to support construction and restoration efforts on sites across [Insert Region]. This role is ideal for someone with construction or landscape equipment experience , a commitment to safe field practices, and a strong work ethic. You'll be part of a hands-on crew that delivers real, visible restoration work—from wetland grading to native planting to stream restoration. You'll work outdoors on active project sites across your assigned region. Most work is local or regional, with frequent travel to field sites and the potential for multi-day assignments. Conditions are dynamic—expect uneven terrain, working around heavy equipment, and being part of a coordinated, safety-first crew. The ability to travel 2-4 nights throughout the week on key projects and home on the weekends. Per Diem and hotel stay provided.

You may then be assigned to operate a skid steer, dozer, or off-road truck , or assist with planting, erosion control, or grading. You'll be expected to follow field plans and supervisor instructions , report any equipment issues, and maintain a safe working environment. You'll assist in setting grades , maintaining equipment , and working alongside other operators and laborers. As part of a restoration crew, you'll contribute to streambank stabilization , wetland construction , stormwater infrastructure , and more. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills. Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level. We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following: High school diploma or GED 2+ years of construction, landscaping, or field crew experience Experience operating skid steers, off-road trucks, dozers, or excavators and with equipment maintenance Familiarity with power, farm, and landscape tools Basic understanding of grading and site drainage principles Able to read or learn to read project plans, elevations, and field specs Ability to communicate clearly with field crews and supervisors Safety-first mindset with a record of incident reporting and equipment care What would make you stand out?
