Full-Time Position Summary The Skid Steer Operator is responsible for safely operating skid steer equipment to move raw materials, finished products, and waste materials throughout the facility and yard. This position supports production operations by maintaining material flow, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring work areas remain clean, organized, and safe. Operators are expected to conduct routine equipment inspections and follow all company safety procedures. Key Responsibilities Operate skid steer equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Move raw materials, regrind, scrap, and finished products throughout the facility. Load and unload trucks, trailers, hoppers, bins, and storage containers. Transport materials to production lines and staging areas. Maintain cleanliness of production areas, yards, and loading zones. Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections. Monitor fluid levels, tire condition, and general equipment condition. Report equipment damage, maintenance needs, or safety concerns immediately. Change attachments as required and operate various skid steer implements. Assist with grinding, shredding, material preparation, or general labor activities as needed. Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE requirements. Work closely with production, warehouse, and shipping personnel to meet operational goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience operating industrial equipment or machinery preferred. Experience in manufacturing, recycling, plastics, or heavy industrial environments is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions. Forklift certification (or ability to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, twist, climb, and work in a production environment. Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures (PPE provided).
