Job Summary We are seeking a full-time Equipment Operator to support our construction and underground utility operations. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment used in excavation, trenching, grading, and site preparation for plumbing and utility installations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and experienced in operating construction equipment while working closely with field crews to ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling for underground plumbing and utility installations Work closely with Foremen, Project Managers, and field crews to meet project schedules and goals Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs Assist with locating existing utilities and maintaining safe excavation practices Follow project plans, grade stakes, and site specifications Maintain clean and organized job sites Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Assist with general labor tasks as needed to support project completion Qualifications Previous experience operating construction equipment required Experience with excavators, skid steers, loaders, and backhoes preferred Knowledge of excavation safety and underground utility work Ability to read site plans, grade stakes, and construction drawings Strong attention to safety and detail Reliable transportation Must pass a drug test and background check Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 80 lbs Ability to climb on and off equipment multiple times throughout the day Work in various positions including bending, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods Ability to work in trenches, uneven terrain, and active construction sites Work in various indoor and outdoor weather conditions Maintain alertness and concentration while operating equipment safely Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Optional overtime available Paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Safety and equipment training Growth and promotion opportunities Supportive, family-style team culture Work Schedule Full-time Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts Overtime opportunities available Apply Today Ready to build your future with a respected company that values hard work and growth?
