Job Description

Join Quicksilver and the Concrete Readymix Industry and build your career with confidence! It's exciting to watch our product shape the city in projects like the Berkley Park development, KC Current Stadium, KC Streetcar, and the KC Airport Terminal, to name a few. This position may float between our plants in the KC area.
Position Summary:
Operate various pieces of heavy equipment, primarily front-end loader. Feed aggregate products to concrete bins. Perform role of batch operator as required..
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Ensure all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner. Obeys safety guidelines when on construction sites and Quicksilver/Talon operations. Establish the environment as a priority in daily activities and act as a steward to the environment. Demonstrate a commitment to meet or exceed environmental compliance. Ensure good customer relations. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Stock pile incoming raw materials. Collect and receive materials tickets/receipts and enter them into computer systems. Cross train duties with Batch Operator. Monitor incoming raw materials for quality issues. Perform manual labor tasks as necessary. Assist with plant maintenance. Set up and inspect equipment prior to operation. Service and/or help with repairs as needed. Clean up around plant as needed. Grade and maintain grounds at the plant. Maintain documentation of vehicle service and repair status. Lubricate, adjust, and repair equipment. Report equipment defects, accidents, or damage.
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills. Dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers. Must be flexible and able to balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines. Possess a general knowledge of construction and concrete products and a solid understanding of the market, competition, and business opportunities. Ability to maintain composure in all situations. Must be a strong team player and gain the trust and support of peers. Exceptional time management skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner. Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the desire to seek solutions. Exhibit strong organizational skills and use resources effectively and efficiently.
