Job Description

Mago Construction Company is a family-owned and operated construction contractor and materials producer based out of Bardstown, KY with site grading, asphalt paving, road and utility construction operations throughout the state of Kentucky. Job Overview We are seeking skilled and dedicated Equipment Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and other necessary equipment for the construction of site development and utility installation. Execute trenching, grading, and other earth-moving activities as required by project specifications. Conduct routine inspections and minimal daily maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on site. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators, graders, and bulldozers. Experience with smaller equipment such as rollers, skid steers, etc. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. A commitment to safety practices and procedures on construction sites. Valid driver's license.
