The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly in construction environments. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate various types of machinery safely and efficiently. As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and commercial vehicles such as dump trucks and water trucks. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to keep equipment in optimal working condition. Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Transport materials using front loader trucks and roll-off trucks as needed. Follow project specifications and instructions from supervisors to achieve desired outcomes. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety regulations. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with concrete mixers, farm machinery, tankers, and Caterpillar machinery is highly desirable. Valid commercial driving license preferred for operating various vehicles on-site.
