Job Description
Responsibilities and Tasks Follow all company safety procedures and GMP standards at all times. Assist in rendering operations, working with operations and maintenance teams. Operate or learn to operate an 18-wheeler and backup trailer. Operate a fork truck, Sky track fork truck, and skid steer. Load and unload trailers including fat tankers, blood tankers, open top, and hopper bottom trailers. Complete basic mathematical calculations for load sheets. Perform daily cleaning duties as part of routine responsibilities. Climb stairs or ladders as required for loading and operations. Perform other duties as assigned by Rendering Management. Requirements Ability to learn and safely operate rendering equipment and vehicles. Ability to complete basic math tasks for load sheets. Ability to work effectively in hot or cold environments. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Previous experience operating heavy equipment (forklift, skid steer, etc.) preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, if applicable. Ability to lift and stack up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
