Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as an Excavator Operator and play a vital role in shaping infrastructure projects with precision and efficiency. In this energetic role, you will operate heavy machinery to perform excavation, grading, and material handling tasks that are essential for successful project completion. Your expertise will help ensure safety, quality, and productivity on busy construction sites, contributing to the development of vital community assets. Duties Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks to perform excavation, grading, trenching, and material movement tasks. Safely maneuver machinery around construction sites while adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Assist with site preparation activities including site clearing, leveling, and digging foundations. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials like gravel, dirt, and debris efficiently across the site. Support other heavy equipment operations such as dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling units, and paving machinery as needed. Maintain detailed records of daily operations, equipment usage logs, and safety checks to ensure compliance with company standards. Requirements Proven experience operating excavators in a construction environment with a solid understanding of heavy equipment operation. Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery including Caterpillar models and other popular brands. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving large vehicles such as dump trucks or water trucks is preferred. Hands-on experience with related equipment like dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, horizontal drills, tankers, and paving machines. Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and ability to work effectively in a team setting. Knowledge of construction processes including site preparation, grading techniques, and material handling. Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues when necessary. Join us in building the future! $26.59 - $32.02 per hour
