Equipment Operator - Heavy Civil / Drainage Construction Triumph Construction LLC is a growing heavy civil contractor based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, specializing in LADOTD, municipal, and public infrastructure projects throughout Louisiana. Our work includes storm drainage, sewer systems, roadway improvements, concrete paving, and underground utility construction. We are currently seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team for projects in the Sulphur, Louisiana area. The ideal candidate will have experience working on heavy civil construction projects involving storm sewer, underground drainage, trench excavation, pipe installation, and roadway infrastructure. This position plays a critical role in underground utility installation, drainage construction, and site development operations. Preferred Experience Experience on LADOTD, DOT, municipal, or heavy civil projects Storm drainage and sewer installation experience Trench excavation and underground utility work Working around pipe crews and grade stakes Knowledge of roadway and drainage construction practices Ability to work in varying field conditions and environments Equipment Experience Preferred Excavators Dozers Loaders Motor graders Skid steers Off-road haul trucks Compactors and rollers Responsibilities Safely operate heavy construction equipment Perform excavation for storm sewer, drainage, and underground utility installation Assist crews with pipe installation, grading, and site preparation Read and follow grade stakes, site plans, and supervisor direction Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Identify and report equipment or safety issues immediately Follow all OSHA, company, and LADOTD safety requirements Work efficiently in a fast-paced heavy civil construction environment Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas Qualifications Previous heavy equipment operating experience required Heavy civil or underground utility experience strongly preferred Valid driver's license required Ability to work overtime and travel when necessary Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work safely around crews, utilities, and traffic Why Join Triumph Construction?
