Overview Join our dynamic roadside assistance team as a Light Duty Tow Truck Operator, specializing in roadside recovery and vehicle support services. In this energetic role, you'll be the first responder for drivers in need, providing prompt, professional, and reliable assistance on the road. Your expertise will help keep motorists safe and vehicles moving smoothly, all while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values your skills and dedication. Duties Safely operate light-duty tow trucks equipped with flatbeds or wheel-lifts to assist stranded motorists. Perform automotive diagnostics and basic mechanical repairs to get vehicles back on the road quickly. Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring safety and damage prevention during transport. Use mechanical knowledge and automotive repair skills to troubleshoot issues and provide effective roadside solutions. Manage conflict situations professionally, maintaining calm and clear communication with customers and other drivers. Conduct vehicle inspections, document service details accurately, and complete all necessary logs for each job. Utilize specialized equipment such as forklifts or other lifting devices when needed for vehicle handling. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially light-duty models with flatbeds or wheel-lifts. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on automotive repair experience; familiarity with automotive diagnostics is a plus. Knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, brakes, electrical components, and mechanical parts. Excellent customer service skills to assist drivers calmly and professionally during stressful situations. Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
