Job Description

Heavy Equipment Operator — Experienced (5+ Years) We are seeking a seasoned Heavy Equipment Operator with a minimum of 5 plus years of hands-on experience operating excavators, front loaders, backhoes and bulldozers. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused and adaptable, and will be willing to expand their skill set by training to operate different tractors, dump trucks and water trucks as business needs dictate. This role requires an ability to perform site work across a variety of projects.
Core Responsibilities:
Operate excavator, front loader, backhoe and bulldozer for grading, trenching and site preparation. Perform fine and rough grading, backfilling and compacting to project specifications. Carry out pre- and post-shift inspections, basic maintenance and general preventative maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment. Respond to emergency repair requests across properties on a 24/7/365 basis when required. Follow and enforce site safety protocols, report hazards and maintain accurate equipment logs.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of documented experience operating heavy construction equipment (excavator, loader, backhoe, bulldozer). Comfortable training on additional machines including tractors, dump trucks and water trucks. Ability to operate multiple machine types; experience with tractors is a plus, but not required, as we will train the right person. Must be available for emergency response as needed. Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 12 months of hire. We value operators who take initiative with equipment care, communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members, and maintain high safety standards on every job. If you meet the experience requirements and are prepared to grow with additional training, we encourage you to apply.
