Job Description
R. Pepin and Sons, Inc. is looking for a loader operator to work in a gravel pit located in Sanford, Maine. Applicants need to have at least 2 years' experience operating a loader in a quarry or gravel pit to be considered for this position. Operators will use a Cat 972 M Front-End-Loader to feed a crushing and screening plant. They will also be responsible for loading trucks using a loader scale system. This employee may run also run an excavator in time as well depending on ability. Please do not apply to this position if you want to sit in the cab of a loader only. Operators are required to help with regular shoveling, greasing, and equipment inspections. This job can be physical at times. This job requires between 45-55 hrs. per week (mostly M-F only) for 10 months out of the year. In January, February expect to work closer to 40 hours per week. Operators who want to assist with plowing local parking lots will have opportunity to get more overtime hours in winter months. Pay will range between $30-$36/hr. depending on former experience.
