Job Description

Overview USA Earthworks, LLC is seeking dozer operators to join our commercial excavation company. USA Earthworks, LLC. is a DBE and MDOT certified contractor in Plainwell, MI and has been in business since 2011. Projects include Municipal and private work, specializing in excavation and commercial site preparation (including underground utility installation of storm and sanitary sewer, and watermain), highway and road reconstruction, and more. As a company, USA Earthworks maintains high standards in professionalism, safety, and job performance. Responsibilities Operate dozers and other heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, graders, water trucks, dump trucks to perform earthmoving, grading, and site preparation tasks. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards and optimal performance; perform basic maintenance as needed. Valid drivers license Follow project plans and specifications accurately to achieve precise grading, leveling, and excavation outcomes. Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines efficiently. Maintain clear communication during operations to ensure safety protocols are followed and hazards are minimized. Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate machinery like loaders or dump trucks. Adhere strictly to safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any unsafe conditions immediately. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, graders, loaders, water trucks, dump trucks on construction sites. Pay is based on Experience Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid driver's license. A (CDL) is beneficial but not required. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical specifications. Prior experience working with paving projects or in environments requiring precise grading is a plus. Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
