Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Tow Truck Operator and become a vital part of our roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, assisting stranded motorists, and ensuring efficient vehicle recovery operations. Your mechanical expertise and customer service skills will help us deliver prompt, professional service to drivers in need. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your automotive skills, and be a crucial support system on busy roads. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently. Conduct automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle condition and determine appropriate recovery or repair methods. Load and unload vehicles using specialized equipment such as winches, hooks, and forklifts when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally. Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, ensuring safety for all parties involved during roadside incidents or recoveries. Maintain detailed logs of all tow operations, including vehicle details, locations, and times for record-keeping purposes. Perform basic automotive repairs or mechanical troubleshooting when required to assist in vehicle recovery or minor fixes on-site. Experience Prior experience operating tow trucks CDL A Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose automotive issues accurately. Hands-on experience with automotive repair, including working with manual transmissions and understanding automotive diagnostics. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) Familiarity with flatbed tow trucks, forklift operation, and other heavy machinery is a plus. Excellent communication skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations professionally.
