Job Description
Capital Paving is a Paving company primarily in central Minnesota. (Our team comprises individuals who take pride in their work and are passionate about changing the scope of the industry. Capital Paving is a family-owned business that prides itself on innovation, employee growth, and retention, with our primary focus on safety. The Operator job function performs various tasks and routine functions throughout the day-to-day support construction activities. This position may require work inside and outside in various weather conditions, including hot, cold, dry, or wet. The routine functions have a wide range of physical demands ranging from sedentary to heavy physical exertion throughout the day. Essential Responsibilities and Tasks Safety-focused mentality - safety is our number one priority Must be available to work long hours, be on time, attention to detail Prefer Class A with a medical card Operates heavy equipment of various sizes, including but not limited to blade, dozers, excavator, water trucks, off-road trucks, and skid steers Helps identify any underground or overhead utilities that have been located before excavation Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment Review trenching requirements with the Superintendent to ensure all safety standards are met Take direction from the foreman and superintendent as the job progresses All other duties assigned
