  • PAY DOE Position Summary
  • We are seeking a dependable and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will Safely operate a variety of heavy machinery while assisting with Site preparation Excavation Grading Trenching Material handling General construction operations. This position requires attention to safety, equipment knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in changing job site conditions. Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment including excavators loaders skid steers dozers graders rollers and other construction machinery Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup Read and follow grade stakes, plans, and supervisor instructions Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns Load and unload materials safely and efficiently Maintain clean and organized job sites Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Work alongside laborers, truck drivers, and project supervisors to complete projects on schedule Operate equipment safely around utilities, structures, and other workers Assist with general construction duties when equipment operation is not required Qualifications Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong understanding of construction site safety practices Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with GPS/machine control systems is a plus Preferred Skills•Knowledge of underground utilities and site development Experience with residential, commercial, or road construction Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability Strong communication and teamwork skills Work Environment•Full-time position Overtime/weekend work may be required depending on project needs Work performed on active construction sites in varying terrain and weather conditions Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement and training flexible scheduling
