POSITION PURPOSE
This position is located at our Montana Limestone Company in Warren, MT. Responsible for assisting and operating the Quarry; and Fine Grind Plant (FGP), Truck, and Rail Load-out (RLO) systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Operate/maintain a limestone crushing and screening processing plant. Balance plant production with customer orders and product inventory levels. Package limestone products into bulk bags and 50-pound bags. Load and weigh customer trucks. Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to water truck, haul trucks, sweeper, 950 and 980 series front-end loaders. Operate locomotives manually and remotely. Load rail cars for manifest and unit trains. Perform routine operational and maintenance checks on equipment. Train other operators as needed. Maintain clean and well-organized workplace. Complete required written reports. Perform other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A
high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment. A valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a Class A Operator Commercial driver's license.PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing, pivoting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds; occasional kneeling, crawling, turning valves, and pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. This position requires the operation of equipment such as a high- pressure steam washer, conveyor systems, stackers, crushers, and uses miscellaneous hand tools. The incumbent is frequently required to perform all types of manual labor tasks which includes, but not limited to, shoveling, sweeping, picking rocks, bagging dust products, cleaning dust, greases, and oil. Finger dexterity, good hearing, color vision. The incumbent will work in areas of dirt/dust and occasionally around chemicals, fumes, extreme heat/cold, vibration, confined areas and at heights up to 100 feet, which requires the use of safety equipment, including a harness, in accordance withANSI Z359
standards. This position will also frequently work in conditions of noise, limited ventilation, and around electrical and rotating equipment. The incumbent will work near augers, elevators, and rail car equipment. Safety personal protective equipment (PPE) required includes hardhat, safety-toed work boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and fall protection. This position may need to be respirator qualified.KEY SKILLS
Knowledge of operations and industrial equipment. Ability to follow equipment operating practices and procedures. Excellent mathematical, basic computer, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and work under pressure to meet deadlines.Similar remote jobs
