Heavy Equipment Operator

Aerotek is hiring for HEO in Mooresville, NC Valid DL is required 60+ hours a week Job Description We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operator Technicians to join our team for coal ash clean-up and maintenance projects. You will be responsible for hauling and moving dirt using various pieces of equipment including Dozers (D6 to D8), Track hoes (CAT 336/ CAT 326L Long reach), and articulated off-road dump trucks. Your role will involve heavy production activities such as loading and moving materials like ash, dirt, and rock, maneuvering dozers to distribute and level terrain, and coordinating machine actions with other activities. Routine maintenance on equipment and determining necessary maintenance are essential components of the role. GPS experience with Trimble and Top Con is beneficial. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction equipment including Dozers, Track hoes, and articulated dump trucks. Perform mass grading, push fill, and cut slopes using Dozers. Load trucks with coal ash and dirt and dig trenches using Track hoes. Conduct production-based hauling of coal ash and dirt using articulated dump trucks. Coordinate machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals. Perform routine equipment maintenance and identify necessary repairs. Essential Skills Experience with dozers, excavators, and finish grading. Knowledge of GPS systems such as Trimble and Top Con. Proficiency in earthworks and heavy equipment operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Production grading experience. Experience in dirt moving and civil construction. Driver's License Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
