POSITION SUMMARY

McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Journeyman Equipment Operators for an exciting Water project in Papillion, NE. We are currently hiring operators experienced with: Excavators Dozers Loaders Skid Loaders Fork Trucks Haul Trucks Rollers The ideal applicant has 5+ years of experience as an equipment operator and maneuvers equipment in a safe manner.

Compensation:

IUOE Local 571 Wages

RESPONSIBILITIES

Completes Crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) logs daily Recognize hazards and danger zones Plan and execute work with minimum supervision Read and interpret blueprints Properly identify soil types Complete shallow and deep trenching excavations activities Rough and fine grading with dozer Safely Load and unload materials Drive water truck/off road truck Completes machine load charts Operate long reach excavator and motor grader Operate small construction equipment (front loader, mixer, forklift, and skid steer) Inspect and provide basic maintenance on equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be an existing member or willing to join International Union of Operating Engineers Local 571 Prior experience with self-perform earthwork operations in commercial or civil environments Must be able to use laser level Understand construction terminology Proven commitment to Safety Work in an organized manner Able to work night shifts when needed Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site Ability to work independently and follow instructions Must be self-motivated and can work well with others Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds Ability to squat, crawl Minimum age 18+ Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization McCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
