Experienced Excavation Operator

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Excavation Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, including excavators, dozers, backhoes and water trucks. This role involves operating various machinery on commercial construction sites to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks efficiently and safely. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision and expertise in heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities Operate a variety of heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, water trucks, skid steers, and dump trucks Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site clearing activities according to project specifications Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency Assist with site preparation including grades, paving and pipe installations, and manual tasks when required Follow safety protocols and adhere to all OSHA regulations during operations Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, backhoes, skid steers, rollers, and dump trucks Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting

MUST HAVE VALID REGULAR DRIVERS LICENSE AND MED CARD

Construction site experience with a focus on excavation and grading projects Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions Physical ability to operate machinery for extended periods and perform manual tasks as needed
