(Department of Transportation) regulations Attention to detail Flatbed Full Job Description We are seeking a reliable and experienced Semi Truck Driver to transport heavy equipment safely and efficiently to various job sites and customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hauling oversized loads, strict adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to timely delivery. Key Responsibilities Operate a tractor-trailer to transport heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and other machinery Load and secure equipment using chains, binders, and straps according to DOT regulations Safely drive long distances, in state only Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers Ensure all cargo is properly secured and compliant with weight limits and safety standards Obtain necessary permits for oversized or overweight loads when required Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations Perform basic truck maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) Clean driving record with no major violations Minimum 2 experience operating a semi truck (heavy haul experience preferred) Experience with lowboy, flatbed, or step-deck trailers Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement standards Ability to operate heavy equipment for loading/unloading (preferred but not required) Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Capable of climbing, bending, and securing loads in various weather conditions Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving Work Environment Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Travel required; may include overnight or multi-day trips Exposure to construction and industrial job site conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan options Paid time off and holidays
