DAY TO DAY AS AN EXPERIENCED HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
As a Full-Time Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with Allied Development Group, your day-to-day responsibilities will be both varied and engaging. Each morning, you will start your day with a safety briefing, emphasizing our commitment to a safe work environment. You will operate heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes, to support various construction tasks, such as site preparation and grading. You can expect to collaborate closely with project managers and team members, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving throughout the day. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday during the day shift, typically starting early in the morning and finishing in the late afternoon. Throughout the day, you will perform routine inspections of equipment, maintain operational readiness, and participate in training sessions to enhance your skills. Adapting to changing project demands while maintaining a focus on excellence will be crucial to your success in this role.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
To thrive as a Full-Time Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator at Allied Development Group, you will need a solid mix of technical and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and layout stakes is essential to ensure precise execution of project plans. You should be adept at operating dozers for both bulk and finish grading without relying on GPS, demonstrating strong equipment handling capabilities. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are crucial, as you will often be tasked with following daily and weekly work plans. Routine tasks will include completing pre-inspection equipment checklists and performing daily greasing and basic maintenance, ensuring that equipment remains in optimal condition. Maintaining a clean cab and windows, along with adhering to all safety protocols and standards, is also expected. You must be able to lift 50 pounds or more safely and possess a valid driver's license for onsite work. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Comprehend and follow daily/weekly work plans Read drawings and layout stakes accurately Operate dozers for bulk and finish grading without GPS Self-motivated and able to work independently Complete pre-inspection equipment checklists Perform daily greasing and basic equipment maintenance Keep cab and windows clean and free of debris Adhere to all safety protocols and standards Ability to lift 50 pounds (or more) safely Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
