In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing flagpoles and related signage on construction sites and public spaces. Your expertise will ensure that flagpoles are safely erected, properly secured, and visually appealing, contributing to the overall safety and aesthetic of our projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and construction tools in a fast-paced environment, supporting the successful completion of various infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks to assist with site preparation and flagpole installation. Use utility locating tools to identify underground utilities before excavation or installation work begins. Install flagpoles using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring stability and safety standards are met. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment including dump trucks and paving machinery to ensure optimal performance. Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and transportation using dump trucks or other heavy machinery. Follow all safety protocols during operation of construction equipment and while working at heights or in challenging environments. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently, ensuring project timelines are met. Skills Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and front loader trucks. Strong knowledge of construction site procedures, safety standards, and utility locating techniques. Familiarity with paving processes and general construction practices. Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy equipment brands confidently. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and precision during installation tasks. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors. Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on flagpole installation or similar projects is preferred.
