Position Summary Karvo Companies, Inc. is seeking experienced Heavy Highway Equipment Operators to join our growing team. This role is responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery used in highway and road construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, rollers, and skid steers Perform grading, excavation, and material handling tasks for highway and sitework projects Follow project plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Work collaboratively with crew members, foremen, and project managers Maintain a clean and organized job site Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in highway or civil construction Ability to read grade stakes and interpret site plans preferred Strong understanding of construction safety practices Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) Willingness to travel to job sites and work varying schedules Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented attitude Active membership in, or ability to join, the appropriate Construction Union Work Environment Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions Physically demanding work requiring lifting, climbing, and extended periods of equipment operation
