Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator

Overview We are seeking an experienced and reliable Equipment Operator to join our growing team. This position focuses on underground utility and site work projects , including waterline, storm, and sanitary sewer installation . The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment and take pride in quality workmanship and jobsite safety. Responsibilities Operate a range of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, dump trucks etc. with precision and safety. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, paving, and other construction activities by skillfully maneuvering heavy equipment. Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently while working on active construction sites. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines effectively. Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation hours, maintenance activities, and site activities for reporting purposes. Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites by operating relevant machinery such as tankers or water trucks as needed. Skills Proven experience operating heavy equipment Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues and perform routine maintenance on various types of heavy equipment. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in operating large vehicles like dump trucks or tankers is highly desirable. Extensive construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics related to heavy machinery operation. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and adhering to project timelines. Knowledge of paving techniques and construction best practices is a plus. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
