Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate skid steer loaders and other heavy equipment to assist with various construction projects, ensuring efficient and safe operations on-site. Your expertise in handling machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and water trucks will be essential in supporting a range of construction activities, from site preparation to material handling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while honing your skills in heavy equipment operation. Duties Operate skid steer loaders safely and efficiently across diverse construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with excavation, grading, loading, and material transport tasks using heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders. Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly. Support site preparation activities including site clearing, leveling, and debris removal using appropriate equipment like water trucks and dump trucks. Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines for optimal productivity. Maintain detailed records of equipment operation, inspections, and maintenance activities for safety compliance. Follow all safety guidelines related to construction site operations and heavy machinery handling. Qualifications Proven experience operating skid steer loaders and other heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and horizontal drilling machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving heavy vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks is preferred. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures. Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) machinery or similar brands is advantageous. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining attention to safety and detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
