You won't be racking up seat hours running a machine. Crewline builds a kit that turns standard drum rollers into self-driving machines
  • it bolts on in about an hour, it's fully reversible, and it works across major brands.
We're funded, early-stage, and running live deployments right now, including on some of the largest construction projects in American history. Your job is to be the human the machine relies on: the safety backstop, the person who sets its missions, and the engineers' eyes and ears on the ground. If sitting in a cab supervising a robot and telling our engineers exactly what's wrong with it every day sounds boring, this isn't for you. If it sounds like the most interesting seat on the jobsite, keep reading. What you'll actually do Sit in the cab and keep the autonomous roller running safely and productively Set and start rolling missions for the roller to complete on site Take manual control instantly if the system ever misses a hazard
  • you are the last line of defense. It hasn't happened (multiple independent safety layers, zero recordable incidents to date), but we treat it as the most important part of the job. Send our engineers straight, structured feedback after every shift
  • what worked, what didn't, what felt off. On time, every time. This is non-negotiable , and it's how the product gets better. Work alongside the construction crew and relay what they need back to us Help with kit install, maintenance, and testing Done right, you'll become one of the most tech-enabled operators in the country
  • able to run multiple machines at once and set up for where construction is heading. Who fits 3+ years operating or driving heavy equipment (roller, dozer, haul truck, excavator) with at least 1 year of dozer experience Calm and decisive when something goes wrong Genuinely into equipment, construction, and technology
  • you'd be curious about this even if it paid less Reliable to a fault: shows up, communicates, hits deadlines on feedback Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where the product changes weekly and your input shapes it Happy outdoors in tough conditions
  • heat, early starts, long days, the occasional late night testing Able to talk to customers and crews on site Open to relocating (we also run a site in the other location, so there's flexibility if you're up for a move) Requirements Valid driver's license + real experience operating roller and dozer at an earthworks contractor Able to lift ~60 lbs in and out of the cab Physically fit for full days of site work Authorized to work in the U.
