Role Overview As a CDL A Dump Truck / Skid Steer Operator with Andrade's Clean Up, you play a critical role in keeping operations moving safely and efficiently. You will operate dump trucks and skid steers to transport materials and debris to and from assigned locations. This is a hands-on, safety-focused position essential to meeting customer expectations and supporting field operations. This is an on-call, fill-in contractor position designed to support our team during busy periods, employee absences, and increased project demands. While hours are not guaranteed, dependable operators who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong performance may have opportunities for more consistent scheduling and potential full-time work as company needs evolve. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not a W-2 position. Key Responsibilities Safely operate dump trucks and other commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Operate related equipment as required, including skid steers/Bobcats, in accordance with training and safety guidelines. Follow proper loading, unloading, and securement procedures using chains, binders, and other safety equipment. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles and equipment are in safe operating condition. Follow assigned routes and schedules using GPS and communication tools. Maintain accurate records of hours worked, deliveries, and basic vehicle condition as required. Comply with traffic laws, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in varying weather and road conditions. Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, field crews, and office staff regarding job status, delays, or equipment concerns. Dispose of debris at approved landfill or disposal sites. Assist with general cleanup around containers and work areas as needed. Perform additional related duties as assigned based on operational needs. Qualifications & Skills Bilingual - Spanish and English preferred. Valid CDL Class A License with verifiable commercial driving experience. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles. Experience driving dump trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Experience operating skid steers/Bobcats preferred. Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and material handling practices. Familiarity with route driving, construction environments, and varied terrain. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain required documentation. Reliable attendance, flexibility, and strong communication skills. Commitment to safety, professionalism, and quality service. All qualifications are job-related and consistent with business necessity. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role involves operating commercial vehicles and working outdoors at job sites. Duties may include standing, walking, climbing, lifting, bending, and working in varying weather conditions. Employment Conditions Engagement may be contingent upon successful completion of background screening, motor vehicle record review, and compliance with DOT requirements, as applicable. Schedule & Compensation On-call / fill-in position based on operational needs and project demand. Typical work hours, when scheduled, are between 6:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Saturday. Advance notice of work assignments will be provided whenever possible. Daily rate plus bonus opportunities, offered in accordance with company policy. Local routes — home nightly.
