Job Summary $18 HR and up Depending on Experience We are seeking a motivated and skilled Water System Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery essential for installing, maintaining, and repairing water systems on construction sites. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and precise execution of water infrastructure projects, contributing to the successful completion of large-scale construction initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and be an integral part of impactful infrastructure development. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, water trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks to support water system installation and maintenance activities Manage and operate specialized machinery including concrete mixers and tanker trucks for various construction tasks Conduct pre-operation inspections on all equipment to ensure safety and functionality before use Assist in the excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site grading processes related to water line installation Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and operational logs Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to promote a secure work environment on-site Qualifications Proven experience operating construction heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and water trucks Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery and troubleshooting skills Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving heavy-duty vehicles including tanker trucks and front loader trucks Familiarity with construction site operations involving concrete mixers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tanker vehicles Knowledge of water system installation processes within construction environments Ability to read technical manuals and operate machinery with precision based on project requirements Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on water infrastructure is highly preferred fixing leaks and installing new taps.
