SKID
STEER OPERATOR / GRADING EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Position Summary Wet Dog Services is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Skid Steer Operator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have experience performing rough grading, site preparation, earthmoving, and reading grading plans to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who takes pride in quality workmanship. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate skid steers and related construction equipment safely and efficiently. Perform rough grading, site preparation, excavation, backfilling, and material placement. Read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, elevations, and construction drawings. Establish proper drainage, slopes, and grade elevations according to project specifications. Load, transport, and distribute dirt, gravel, sand, and other materials. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance. Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, and jobsite hazards. Assist with erosion control, drainage installation, and final site cleanup. Work effectively with supervisors, crew members, subcontractors, and customers. Comply with all OSHA, company, and jobsite safety requirements. Qualifications 2+ years of skid steer operating experience preferred. Experience with rough grading and site development work required. Ability to read and understand grading plans and construction drawings. Knowledge of drainage, elevations, slopes, and grade control techniques. Experience with laser levels, grade rods, or GPS machine control is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
