Job Description

Small team, stable hours, large growth potential. Good for someone who enjoys operating and maintaining heavy equipment. 40 hour work week, no overtime. Practical GreenTech is a small family business supplying top soil, fill, and rock to regional builders, road crews, and landscapers. We are looking for an experienced operator to can keep the equipment busy and well-maintained. This role is for someone who can run large excavators safely and efficiently, can perform basic maintenance and repairs, and understands grading and site flow. We're not looking for a full-time mechanic, but you need to know how to troubleshoot, and most of all, you need to know how to prevent damage to the equipment . " in the response or cover letter section of your application. Daily Responsibilities Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including a Komatsu
PC360-LC
Excavator, Komatsu WA250 Wheel Loader, and Revolver RT508 Trommel Screener Screen and stockpile topsoil and fill dirt Load trucks and trailers safely and efficiently Perform grading and leveling work as directed (rough grade, not GPS) Conduct daily inspections, greasing, and basic mechanical maintenance Diagnose and perform equipment repairs Keep the yard organized, safe, and navigable Work independently on production goals while coordinating with the team on special projects as needed Requirements Ideal background includes quarry, mining, millwright, industrial plant maintenance, grading, stripping, rock crushing Strong familiarity with heavy equipment maintenance and repair Strong mechanical aptitude Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field Takes pride in your work Reliable, consistent, and safety-minded Strong personal integrity and respect for others High School Diploma Work Environment This is 100% outdoor work. If you don't enjoy working outside and running machines all day, this won't be a good fit. We are a small crew that operates on trust and accountability .
