Yard Switcher Driver - York, SC We are seeking qualified candidates with yard switcher experience to join our team in York, SC . This position is responsible for safely moving, positioning, and backing 53-foot trailers throughout a busy yard environment.
Responsibilities:
Move trailers to and from designated yard locations Safely back and maneuver 53-foot trailers in tight spaces Conduct pre- and post-trip trailer inspections Maintain accurate trailer location and movement records Follow all company safety procedures and yard regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and transportation teams
Requirements:
Previous yard switcher, yard jockey, or shuttle driver experience required Experience moving and backing 53-foot trailers Ability to operate a yard tractor safely and efficiently Strong attention to safety and detail Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required)
