Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator under direct supervision, the Heavy Equipment Operator performs earthmoving duties on a daily basis.
Pay Rate:
Up to $26.00/hour, depending on experience
Assignment Length:
12-month contract with the high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
Responsibilities:
Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing PPE. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required. 2 years of experience operating Caterpillar 637 scrapers, D9 dozers and 140 patrol, in a mine setting, required or general experience operating Caterpillar D8 dozer and 980 loaders in stockpile setting. Must have working knowledge of overburden handling, ore and soil segregation. General knowledge of hydraulic principles. Basic understanding of earth moving. Ability to operate Heavy Equipment safely. Ability to take and understand directions.
